Visit Jackson

Jackson PictureNicole Way 4x6

Jackson Township was named after Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States. With a population of 42,826 and an ideal central location, Jackson is an exciting place to start your adventure in New Jersey.

Whether it’s a day shopping for bargains at the Premium Outlets or thrill seeking at Six Flags Great Adventure, Wild Safari or Hurricane Harbor, Jackson has a lot to offer. Looking for local history? Visit the Jackson museum in a 150-year old historic schoolhouse and learn about the grist mills and cranberry bogs of days past. Take the kids to the Jackson Jungle, a community built playground with over 18,000 square feet of mazes, tunnels, monkey bars and slides. Walk the fitness trails at one of our many parks or head to Top Gun Paintball to face your friends in their naturally wooded or themed playing fields.

Jackson’s central location makes it only a short half hour drive to attractions such as FirstEnergy Park, home of the BlueClaws and the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. In less than two hours, you can try your luck at the casinos in Atlantic City or enjoy the Victorian charm of historic Cape May. If you are looking for history, great shopping, adventure or family fun, Jackson Township does not disappoint!
