The Chamber
Incorporated in
1967, our Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, voluntary organization,
made of business people bringing together their experience,
knowledge and ideas to promote the economic vitality of Jackson
Township.
Our members are
small business owners, professionals, utilities, community organization,
educational institutions and large corporations; we count on
attorneys, banks, medical professionals, accountants, manufacturers
and restaurants among our membership which exceeds 230 and is
steadily growing. The Jackson Chamber of Commerce meets the
needs of several business sectors including tourism, healthcare,
communications and service industries.
The Chamber is
run by its members. The members elect Board of Directors, who
in turn elects the officers of the Chamber. The Board determines
policies, sets goals and appoints committees. Day-to-day operations
and back-up services for the Chamber and members are handled
by paid staff.
General Membership
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month. The
locations rotate throughout our community.
The Chamber is
always looking for new and exciting locations and speakers that
will best serve its membership. Reservations to these events
are required and made with the staff prior to each meeting.
